High Beeches Woodland and Water Gardens

A well preserved example of a landscaped woodland garden, dating from the early 20th century. The Gardens are listed Grade II (star) on the English Heritage register of Parks and Gardens. Planted originally by Colonel Loder from 1906, the Gardens now cover 20 acres (8 hectares) and contain varied and extensive plant collections in a beautiful and natural landscape setting. Especially colourful in Spring and Autumn, there is always plenty to interest the visitor.

Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens

A romantic 97 hectare valley with seven beautiful lakes. A paradise in spring when sumptuous rhododendrons and azaleas overhang paths lined with bluebells. Wallabies. (babies in pouches in spring) live semi-wild in parts of the valley. deer roam in the parks. and wildfowl adorn the lakes. The Bonsai exhibition shows this living artform to pelfection.ln the collection of Victorian Motor Cat-s (1890-1900) are some of the oldest cars. "Behind the Dolls House" is a country estate of 100 years ago in miniature.

Wakehurst Place 

This is "Kew's"  country garden, with plants from across the world in 500 acres of walled and water gardens, woodland and wetland conservation area.

There are rare and exotic plants from the Himalayas and the Southern Hemisphere with extensive walks throughout the property.

The historic house is only open on the ground floor with displays relating to the development of the grounds
