Congleton Museum
Newly opened in summer 2002, the museum has touch screen computers, pull-out
figures with voiceovers telling the town’s history. Fascinating exhibits include prehistoric log boat, coin hoards
from the civil war, Fustian cutting displays and war time experiences.

Macclesfield Silk museums
The Silk Museums offers the chance to explore the history of a silk town and discover the
unique properties of silk and to see the designs which made the town famous. Silk costumes illustrate the
importance of silk to fashion. Included is a guided tour of Paradise Mill with demonstrations of jacquard
hand loom weaving

Mouldsworth Motor Museum

National Waterways Museum
Set within an historic dock complex, the world’s largest floating collection of canal craft.
