A 16-sided house was built on the instructions of two spinster cousins, Jane and Mary
Parminter The interior includes a feather frieze and shell-encrusted gallery which, due to its fragility, can
only be viewed on closed-circuit television.

Arlington Court 
A 1822 house, built in the neo-classical style. Inside are a number of collections brought
together by Miss Rosalie Chichester who owned the house. These include shells, costumes, model ships &
pewter.

Bradley Manor 
Given to the National Trust in 1938 by Mrs A. H. Woolner, the house, which has an east
front and chapel, is still lived in and managed by her family.

Coleton Fishacre House & Garden 
Built in a stream-fed valley on a stretch of the National Trust protected South Devon
coastline, the house was designed in 1925 for Rupert and Lady Dorothy D’Oyly Carte, who created its luxuriant
garden.

Escot Country Park & Gardens
Natural historical gardens and woodland which surround the ancestral home of the Kennaway
family. The original gardens were set out by Capability Brown and have been brought to life by Land artist
and television gardener Ivan Hicks.

Killerton House & Gardens 
Built for the Acland family in 1778, the house is furnished as a home. The
Paulise de Bush collection of 18th- to 20th-century costume is displayed in period rooms. There is an introductory
exhibition in the stable courtyard, a Victorian laundry and a chapel

Knightshayes Court 
The work of designer William Burges. The interiors combine medieval with
Victorian decoration, and the smoking and billiard rooms, boudoir and drawing room all give an insight into the
country house life which revolved around the Heathcoat-Amory family.

The Old Bakery, Manor Mill & Forge 
A stone-built and partially rendered building beneath thatch, was the last traditional working
bakery in Devon. The old baking equipment has been preserved in the baking room and the rest of the building
now serves as a tea-room. The water-powered Manor Mill probably supplied the flour for the bakery.

Saltram House 
Stands high above the River Plym in a wooded landscaped park. The house, with its
original contents, was largely created between the 1740s and 1820s by three generations of the Parker
family.
