St. Briavel's Castle 

A splendid 12th century castle, once the residence of the Constable of the Royal Forest of Dean, and now a Youth Hostel. Exterior viewable at any reasonable time. There is also a fine Norman church nearby. Admission free.

Berkeley Castle

Sudeley Castle

Set in the Cotswold Hills, Sudeley Castle is steeped in history. The former home of Queen Katherine Parr, the Castle is surrounded by magnificient award-winning gardens. Continuing throughout 2003 Six Wives at Sudeley Castle-an exhibition of Tudor Costume.
