Finkley Down Park
The south's number one family day out. Feed the goats, stroke the rabbits and see lots of baby
animals being reared in a natural environment. There are pens you can enter and get close to the animals and
activities such as feeding and grooming taking place during the day. There is a playground, Gypsy
caravans, Barn of Bygones, picnic area and Rooster's Rest Tearoom.

The Hawk Conservancy & Country Park
There are around 200 birds at the Conservancy, which is set in 15 acres of wooded grounds and
has a furtber seven acres of wildflower meadow accessible to visitors. The main attraction for most people is
watching the three daily flying demonstrations, which use entirely different teams of birds at each. Species
which can be seen include owls, vultures, falcons, eagles and the spectacular Secretary Bird. The highlight
for most people is the Valley of the Eagles display at 2pm. Other species for visitors to see include deer,
polecats and waterfowl. The Conservancy has also built a nature trail especially for children, who can also
enjoy stamping "passports" as they go round the grounds. Everyone has the chance to hold a bird of prey and
adults have the opportunity to fly a Harris Hawk. An adventure play area allows youngsters to let off steam.
There is coffee and gift shops and are fully accessible.

Hinton Ampner Garden 
A masterpiece of design by Ralph Dutton, 8th and last Lord Sherborne, the 5ha (12 acre) garden

Houghton Lodge Gardens
A Grade II Historic House and a unique example of an 18th Century Cottage Orne with
walled garden, peacock parterre, herbaceous borders, woodland and riverside walks. In spring the gardens are
a mass of daffodils and scilla, summer and autumn herald wonderful displays of roses, shrubs and perennials,

Lakeside Country Park
Popular for fishing, windsurfing, model boating and sailing, Lakeside is also home to a
variety of wildlife. There are picnic areas and plenty of open space for ball games. Within the country park,
this miniature passenger railway, mostly steam engines, takes you on a journey around the lakes. You can stop
off at the picnic and play area at Monks Brook Halt. An all day pass allows you on and off any of the trains
at any time. The new station offers refreshments, a gift shop and a model railway with Thomas the Tank Engine
characters. Watch videos and possibly other entertainment on special event days.

Royal Victoria Country Park
The Park gains its name from the creation in 1856 of the country's first purpose built
