Herefordshire Attractions16th Century Painted Room
The 16th Century Painted Room is a unique example of Elizabethan Wall painting. Discovered in
the late 1980’s the paintings are a poor man’s copy of the leather hangings popular with the gentry.
Ledbury’s famous landmark, the stilted Market House was built as a Com Warehouse in the 17 th
century.

Hereford Nature Trust
The foremost nature conservation charity in the county. It has more than 50
nature reserves, representing the best of Herefordshire’s countryside. They run a series of weekend

Hereford Society of Model Engineers
Adjacent to the Waterworks museum, Broomy Hill Miniature Railway is operated by Hereford
society model engineers usually with steam locomotives. Open days are family events, examine the engines on
