16th Century Painted Room

The 16th Century Painted Room is a unique example of Elizabethan Wall painting. Discovered in the late 1980’s the paintings are a poor man’s copy of the leather hangings popular with the gentry. Ledbury’s famous landmark, the stilted Market House was built as a Com Warehouse in the 17 th century.

Bromyard & District Local History Society

The History Society’s extensive archive of photographs and documents is available to anyone wishing to research local and family history in Bromyard and surrounding parishes. Cider Museum & King Offa Distillery

Explore the story of traditional cidermaking, how apples were harvested, milled, pressed and fermented to produce cider. View the reconstructed farm ciderhouse, the original Champagne Cider cellars, Vat House and 19th Century bottling machinery. Browse in the gift shop and sample the King Offa Distillery brands produced at the Museum.

The Goat Company

Hereford Nature Trust

The foremost nature conservation charity in the county. It has more than 50 nature reserves, representing the best of Herefordshire’s countryside. They run a series of  weekend breaks on these reserves, exploring Herefordshire’s wildlife. These breaks include birdwatching, river safaris and walking weekends.

Hereford Society of Model Engineers

Adjacent to the Waterworks museum, Broomy Hill Miniature Railway is operated by Hereford society model engineers usually with steam locomotives. Open days are family events, examine the engines on display and take a train ride. The society also caters for the serious modeller with meetings throughout the year. Free admission

Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Exhibition
