East Lancashire Steam Railway

The railway offers an enthralling 17 mile all round trip by steam train from Rawtenstall, down the Irwel Valley to Bury, via Ramsbottom through some of the most varied and picturesque countryside in Lancashire. Regular events held throughout the year. Trains run weekends and Bank Holidays except Chistmas and New Year.

West Lancashire Light Railway

Take a trip on Lancashire's smallest preserved railway aboard the historic two foot gauge Hunslet steam loco "Iris Mail", built in 1903 or other vintage diesels. Also see the 1/4 mile track and large collection of narrow-gauge rolling stock.
