Merseyside Maritime Museum


The Museum is an absolute must! It is a huge museum in the Albert Dock, which you could easily spend all day looking around. It has exhibitions on every part of Liverpool's history, from the cotton mills and the primitive port of the early industrial revolution, to the key role which Liverpool played during the Second World War, and especially, the Battle of the Atlantic.

National Conservation Centre

"Where Science meets Art". This new exhibition will have at its centre a working laboratory that will present the scientific work of conservators through interpreted displays and demonstrations. Surrounding displays, based around iconic objects and interactives, will enable visitors to investigate a wide range of science applications from x-ray analyses of Egyptian mummies to laser cleaning of sculptures. An area with microscopes, databases and interactives will allow visitors to explore the themes of the exhibition through connections with everyday objects

Williamson Art Gallery & Museum
