Caister Castle Car Collection & Grounds
 
Contains the largest private collection of motor vehicles in Great Britain from 1893 to the present time. Moated castle with 100-foot tower built in 1432 on the site of early fortified manor house. Location: 3 miles north of Great Yarmouth

City of Norwich Aviation Museum

Aircraft and memorabilia showing the aviation history of Norfolk, featuring a massive Vulcan bomber and some of the civil and miltary aircraft from Norfolk’s airfields. Indoor exhibitions tell of the heroes and pioneers who have made local aviation history.

Cromer Museum

The museum is housed in a row of Victorian fisherman’s cottages. Displays include a Victorian fishermans cottage illuminated by gaslight, Cromer’s history as a seaside resort, daring lifeboat rescues, the West Runton Elephant and other geological finds

Elizabethan House Museum 
 
A Tudor merchant’s house hidden behind a Georgian street front, with furnished rooms and displays of home life through the ages. Visit the panelled parlour where the death of King Charles I was decided. Further displays include toys and educational items and a Victorian kitchen and scullery.

The Shell Museum
 
The oldest purpose built museum in Norfolk and house the finest seashell collection in the UK. The collection was originally put together by the late Sir Alfred Jodrell (Baronet) who was an ancestor of Professor Jodrell of “Jodrell Bank” fame. In addition to our wonderful collection of shells we are home to a large tapestry, worked in wool by the late John Craske.

Mundesley Maritime Museum

Situated in the former Coastguard lookout, Mundesley Maritime Museum contains photographs, prints and other exhibits telling the story of Mundesley’s maritime and social history from the beginning of the 19th century onwards. The museum has some fascinating artefacts on display including; ships wheels, navigation lights, a breeches buoy and rocket pistols as well as some locally discovered mammoth & hippopotamus fossils!

Muckleburgh Collection
 
Britain’s largest private military museum is home to 16 working tanks, 150 vehicles, guns and missiles and 3,000 exhibits of WWI & WWII memorabilia. Ride on a Gama Goat 6 wheeled personnel vehicle on Sundays and school holidays (except Saturdays).

Museum of the Broads
 
The Museum of the Broads is the only museum in the UK to chronicle man’s effect upon the Broadland environment. The Broads are one of England’s unique landscapes which was formed by medieval peat diggings which became shallow lakes. Today they are a haven for both wildlife and holidaymakers, but behind the tourist industry lies a myriad of traditional ways of working and living.

The RAF Air Defence Radar Museum, situated at RAF Neatishead, was opened in October 1994. The museum, a registered charity, traces the fascinating history and development of Air Defence Radar during the period 1935 to 1993.

Shirehall Museum & Walsingham Abbey Grounds

Set in the picturesque village of Little Walsingham, the early 16th century building that now houses the Walsingham Shirehall Museum was used as a hostel for important visitors as it was only 80 feet away from the Priory Church. In the 1770s it was converted into the shirehall for the quarter sessions, which were held here until 1861; the petty sessions continued until 1971.

Tales of the Old Gaolhouse

Tales of the Old Gaol House is an historic and educational attraction. Let your imagination take you back in time by audiotape or script through the 1930’s Police station of King’s Lynn. Beyond the cells hear the sounds and smells of prison life 200 years ago. This attraction also houses the Lynn treasury which includes the King’s Lynn cup.

Wymondham Heritage Museum

The museum is housed in the historic Bridwell building, built in 1785 as a new model prison, & tells its story as a prison, police station & courthouse.
