The eagle-like Red Kite was extinct in Britain by the end of the 19th century. Now, thanks
to work by the RSPB and English Nature, it is being slowly re-introduced. In Rockingham Forest there are
now around 70 birds and 40 breeding pairs. The Red Kite Visitor Centre, has live video feeds from nests in
the forest. Guided walks are also arranged.
