Holme Pierrepont Hall
Tudor manor house by the Trent with attractive gardens. The house was built by Sir
William Pierrepont around 1500, and is one of the oldest brick buildings in Britain. For
much of its time, the house has been the Nottinghamshire residence of the Pierrepont family who became
the Dukes of Kingston

Newstead Abbey & Gardens
Ancestral home of the poet Lord Byron. Gothic-style mansion with Victorian
interiors. Gardens open all year.
A stone built classical house in a woodland garden created in 18th century. The house
has very fine platerwork and staircase.

Jacobean house built in 1607 with a priests hiding hole. Carved Charles II staircase and 17
th and 18 th century furniture.
