Jessamine Cottage Gardens
Provides a variety of formal and informal features: a lime avenue, island beds, wild
flower meadows, a large wildlife pond, woodland, a parterre and a kitchen garden. Over 50 species of bird
frequent the gardens. Plants, homemade teas and preserves are available.
Covers both banks of the Severn near Highley and Alveley, about six miles south of
Bridgnorth, contains some of the finest scenery in the Severn Valley. There is a visitor centre with
education, display and information facilities as well as a car park and toilets. Waymarked walks, some
suitable for wheelchair use. A "halt" provides direct access for railway passengers.

A delightful 20th century garden around a 16th century house (not open). The formal design
creates many separate smaller gardens each with its own design and planting. The garden is complemented by
significant collections of tender salvias, clematis, crocosmias and many other rare and desirable
