Cathedral Church of St Marie
 
Worshipping on this city centre site dates back 200 years. Today’s Cathedral dates from 1847 and is a lovely example of Gothic architecture.

Sheffiled Cathedral
 
The City Centre's only medieval building. Listed Grade 1, this working cathedral contains architecture from the 15th to the 20th century, houses magnificent Tudor memorials and striking stained glass.

Roche Abbey 
 
The Abbey was founded in 1147 by Richard de Bully and Richard Fitzturgis and is situated on the stream which divided their land. The access road to the abbey lies 1.5 miles beyond Maltby, along Blyth Road. The Abbey is now cared for by the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission.

Wakefield Cathedral

The present building dates from the 14th century, and boasts a magnificent collection of stained glass by C. E. Kempe, much fine wood carving, and the tallest spire in Yorkshire
