Bishops’ House
 
The oldest surviving half-timbered house in Sheffield. Built in about 1500 it gives visitors a tantalising flavour of Tudor and Stuart England. A true hidden gem, tucked away at the top of Meersbrook Park it boasts wonderful panoramic views of the city.

Brodsworth Hall & Gardens

Conisbrough Castle
                    
The white, cylindrical keep of this 12th-century castle is a spectacular structure. Made of magnesian limestone, it is the only example of its kind in England. Recently restored, with two new floors and a roof, it is a fine example of medieval architecture and was one of the inspirations for Sir Walter Scott’s classic novel, Ivanhoe

Cannon Hall Park and Gardens & Museum

Cusworth Hall & Museum of South Yorkshire
 
Former home of the Battie Wrightson family and built in the 1740s, Cusworth Hall is set in 50 acres of parkland and contains displays illustrating everyday life in South Yorkshire over the last 200 years. Exhibits include costumes, childhood, transport and local occupations

Cutlers’ Hall
 
A spectacular building dating from 1832 and is steeped in Sheffield history. Home to the Cutlers’ company (Sheffield’s livery company) and host to the annual celebration of Sheffield’s manufacturing industry, the Cutlers’ Feast, it houses a superb collection of silver and is architecturally breathtaking.

Sheffield Manor Lodge
 
A scheduled ancient monument.  Mary Queen of Scots was held prisoner at Sheffield Manor Lodge for 14 years of her captivity on the orders of Elizabeth I and as such is of local, regional and national significance.  The intact Turret House is listed grade II* and the Manor Lodge ruins are listed grade II .

Town Hall
 
Opened by Queen Victoria in 1897, the Grade I listed building is made of Derbyshire stone with an ornate interior of wonderful stonework, striking Italian marble, elegant mosaic floors and incredible ornate plaster ceilings. It provides a stunning backdrop for the magnificent Peace Gardens. A bronze statue of Vulcan also stands atop the 200ft tower, a symbol of Sheffield’s steel industry. This building now houses Sheffield City Council Offices, chamber and committee rooms.
