Claymills Pumping Station

Victorian steam operated Pumping Station. There are four Gimson of Leicester beam engines housed in two houses, five boilers, and numerous other auxiliary engines. There is also a period workshop, with its steam driven machinery, a dynamo house, which provided D.C. electricity for lighting, and the site office block.

Mill Meece Pumping Station


Preserved pumping station with two horizontal steam engines. The station supplied water to Newcastle under Lyme and Stoke on Trent for sixty years.
