Wilmcote, 5 miles north of Stratford-upon-Avon. Great for a family outing, the timbered farmhouse was the
home of Shakespeare’s mother before she married John Shakespeare and moved to Stratford. The farmhouse
displays many interesting features about life and work on the land.

Roman Alcester
This stylish and inspirational museum traces the arrival of the Romans in Alcester and their
continuing influence on the town. Household objects, coins and jewellery found by members of the public and
excavated by archaeologists, sit alongside a reconstruction of an archaeological dig. Audio visual
presentations help bring the past to life and the museum combines contemporary display with
interactivity.

The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Museum (Royal Warwickshire)
The new museum tells the story of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment from its origins in 1674 to
the Fusiliers of today. An exciting mixture of real objects, models and activities bring the soldiers stories
to life. Have a go on the computer, listen to audio points and try uniforms on.

The Teddy Bear Museum
Hundreds of enchanting teddy bears, including some of the oldest and rarest in the world, are
displayed in this oak-beamed house, which used to belong to King Henry VIII and which is now home to the Bear
of Avon, William Shakesbeare. You will find lots of modern teddy bear stars too, including the original
